🌸 Could i get to see my design before the appointment?

Normally, and if time permits, I usually send the design 1 or 2 days before the appointment (this is usually just the line work without any colour), in case anything needs to be modified.

If that doesn't happen, you will see your design on the day of your tattoo appointment and if anything needs to be modified, we will do it right then and there.

As I'm just one person working and organising everything myself, I ask for your patience, I will get back to you as soon as possible.

🌸 What is your refound/cancellation/reschedule policy?

If you wish to cancel an appointment, in order to receive a full refund of your deposit, you will need to give us at least 72 hours notice before the previously arranged appointment. If you wish to change the date of your appointment, the time limit for changing the date is exactly the same.

You will also lose the total amount of your deposit in case of:

You do not show up on the day of your appointment.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes late.(Without prior notice).
You arrive at your appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs.(In this case the tattoo cannot be done on that day, so you will have to change the date and pay a new deposit to book the new appointment)

🌸 Things you may need before your tattoo

Although it may not seem like it, having a good preparation for your tattoo can help you a lot!

Here are some of the steps to follow that I always recommend:

To be ready after you get your tattoo done, you’ll need a non-fragranced soap in order to clean it. For this you can use any of the following:
Sanex Zero or Dove shower cream (as long as it’s fragrance free or lightly scented like dove, you’ll be fine).
To mosturize your tattoo for the next weeks you will need: Palmer´s coccoa butter, coconut oil, bepanthen, aquaphore... please let me know if you have any allergies such as coconut or mango so I can suggest an alternative.

Please only use bottled soap, if you were to use a bar of soap, there’s always a cross contamination risk such as bacteria from surfaces touching the tattoo directly or other people using the bar of soap, both of which can lead to a bad heal.

🌸 Suggestions for the week prior your appointment

During the week before your appointment moisturise the area where the tattoo is going to be done once a day (any moisturiser that works well for you).

  • Rest well during the night before your appointment.
  • Take a shower before coming to your appointment, and do not use any more moisturiser on the tattoo area that day.
  • Eat a good breakfast (Normally my tattoo sessions take time as they are large colour pieces).
  • Bring a snack or soft drink with you, this will help you stay well during the session.
  • Wear comfortable clothes, depending on the area you are going to get tattooed I advise you to adapt your clothing e.g. if you are going to get a tattoo on your upper arm, wear a tank top etc.
  • Do not use anaesthetic creams, as in my experience, they are usually quite problematic during the session and even the days after.
🌸 Aftercare

The aftercare process can be different for everyone, those experienced with being tattooed may have their own methods, however below are my general aftercare instructions.

I do keep a supply of dry lock pads and second skin, however I do typically prefer to wrap the tattoo in cling film and provide instructions on what to do.

  • Leave the cling film on for roughly 2 hours.
  • After that time has passed, remove the dressing with clean hands and rinse it under running warm water, gently washing the tattoo with a non-fragranced soap.
  • Once clean, allow the tattoo to air dry. I don’t recommend using any towels or paper towels.
  • Due to the intensity of full colour tattoos, your fresh tattoo may be rather leaky. If this is the case just leave it to air out.
  • Once the tattoo is fully dry, then apply a tiny amount of your aftercare product.
  • If the tattoo looks wet once you’ve applied the aftercare product. Give it a rinse.
  • You don’t want to overdo it with moisturiser as it will cause complications in the healing process.
  • Repeat the cleaning and moisturising process twice per day. (Morning and night)
  • You can top the tattoo up with a minuscule amount of moisturiser halfway through your day if it’s feeling a little dry.

If you do wish to use second skin, you can, but just follow the steps I will send you upon completion of your tattoo.
